Staying Connected to Long-Distance Grandchildren

As long-distance grandmas, we know we have to try a little harder to stay connected to our long-distance grandchildren. That’s why I keep connecting with other long-distance grandmas to learn some of the ways they stay connected to their grandchildren.

I recently met Debra Weller, a professional storyteller, virtual communications coach, and long-distance grandma. We met on Instagram — my favorite new way to connect with other grandmas.

Deb and I are teaming up on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 4:30 pm EST to do an Instagram Live program. We’ll be sharing some of our favorite tips to help long-distance grandmas connect with their grandchildren.

Instagram has become the most popular social media platform for every generation. I have to confess I was late to the game but once my granddaughter set up my Instagram account, I’ve had so much fun posting, interacting, and connecting with other grandmas from all over the world. Now I understand why everyone loves it — Instagram users engage, leave comments, and share such interesting information. Instagram is definitely worth a look if you haven’t tried it and it’s really easy to use.

Deb and I hope you’ll join us on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 4:30 pm EST for a lively conversation on how to stay connected to your long-distance grandchildren.
