You’re invited to attend National Grandparents Week — a week-long virtual celebration and educational conference for grandparents beginning on September 10, 2023. Kicking off on National Grandparents Day, it’s a full week of presentations, mini-classes, and giveaways to honor grandparents and provide you with a multitude of resources.
Aaron Larsen, the founder of Grandparents Academy, is hosting the event. He’s brought together 23 world-class experts on a wide range of topics related to grandparenting including:
- Grandparenting from a Distance
- What Every New Grandparent Should Know
- Connecting with Teenage Grandchildren
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Grandparents
- Navigating Family Conflict and Alienation
- What to do about Screen time
- and many more!
I’m honored to be part of Grandparents Week and will be sharing insights about “Communicating Effectively with Parents.”
Many of these experts have been recognized by GRAND Magazine as “Best of the Best GRANDparent Resources.” A few you may recognize include New York Times bestselling authors Linda and Richard Eyre, world-record travel holder Grandma Joy and her grandson Dr. Brad Ryan, and Dr. Kerry Byrne, Founder of The Long Distance Grandparent.

Frequently Asked Questions
If the event doesn’t start until September, why register now?
You want to register now because we’ve already started the celebration with our pre-event giveaways, and you’re automatically entered to win when you register. A few weeks ago, Aaron drew the name of a grandparent to win a $100 Amazon gift card, and there are drawings for more prizes coming up soon.
Where is the event located?
It’s all hosted and made available online. You can watch and enjoy from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
Is it really free?
Yes. This event was designed to be as accessible as possible so that every grandparent regardless of economic status can benefit.
What inspired this event?
Years and years of wishing grandparents a “Happy Grandparents Day” only to see a puzzled look and confusion. Grandparents play a vital role in our society, yet often aren’t recognized. This event was created to change that by bringing more awareness to the importance of grandparents while also providing an incredibly valuable experience packed with educational insights and fun!
